Transformation of Sentence
(Assertive → Exclamatory)
Assertive sentence (বর্ণনামূলক বাক্য) কে Exclamatory sentence (বিস্ময়সূচক বাক্য) এ পরিবর্তন করতে হলে আবেগ (emotion) প্রকাশ করতে হয়—যেমন আনন্দ, দুঃখ, বিস্ময়, রাগ ইত্যাদি। নিচে বিস্তারিত নিয়মগুলো দেওয়া হলো:
🔷 Exclamatory sentence কী?
যে বাক্যে আবেগ/উত্তেজনা/বিস্ময় প্রকাশ পায়, তাকে Exclamatory sentence বলে।
👉 শেষে সবসময় (!) চিহ্ন থাকে।
Example:
What a beautiful flower!
How happy he is!
🔹 ১. “Very” থাকলে “How” ব্যবহার করতে হবে
Assertive বাক্যে যদি “very” থাকে, তাহলে Exclamatory-তে How ব্যবহার করা হয়।
👉 Structure:
Subject + be + very + adjective → How + adjective + subject + be!
Example:
He is very happy.
→ How happy he is!
The girl is very সুন্দর।
→ How beautiful the girl is!
🔹 ২. “Very + adjective + noun” থাকলে “What a/an” ব্যবহার
👉 Structure:
Subject + be + very + adj + noun → What a/an + adj + noun + subject + be!
Example:
She is a very good girl.
→ What a good girl she is!
It is a very nice day.
→ What a nice day it is!
🔹 ৩. “So + adjective” থাকলে “How” ব্যবহার
👉 Structure:
Subject + be + so + adj → How + adj + subject + be!
Example:
He is so brave.
→ How brave he is!
🔹 ৪. “Such + adjective + noun” থাকলে “What” ব্যবহার
👉 Structure:
Subject + be + such + adj + noun → What a/an + adj + noun + subject + be!
Example:
It is such a beautiful place.
→ What a beautiful place it is!
🔹 ৫. “A very” থাকলে “What a/an” ব্যবহার
Example:
He is a very intelligent boy.
→ What an intelligent boy he is!
🔹 ৬. Negative বাক্য → Exclamatory
Negative বাক্যকে exclamatory করতে গেলে আবেগ অনুযায়ী positive রূপে আনা হয়।
Example:
He is not happy.
→ How unhappy he is!
🔹 ৭. Verb যুক্ত বাক্য → “How” দিয়ে রূপান্তর
যদি verb থাকে (action), তাহলে “How” দিয়ে আবেগ প্রকাশ করা হয়।
Example:
He runs very fast.
→ How fast he runs!
She sings very nicely.
→ How nicely she sings!
🔹 ৮. “Alas” ব্যবহার (দুঃখ প্রকাশে)
দুঃখ বা দুঃসংবাদ বোঝাতে Alas! ব্যবহার করা হয়। It is a matter of sorrow that=Alas!
Example:
It is a matter of sorrow that he is dead.
→ Alas! He is dead!
It is a matter of sorrow that we are very poor.
→ Alas! We are very poor!
🔹 ৯. “Hurrah” ব্যবহার (আনন্দ প্রকাশে)
আনন্দ বা বিজয় বোঝাতে Hurrah! ব্যবহার করা হয়।It is a matter of joy that= Hurrah!
Example:
It is a matter of joy that we have won the match.
→ Hurrah! We have won the match!
🔹 ১০. “What” vs “How” পার্থক্য
What—--adjective + noun থাকলে
How—---শুধু adjective বা adverb থাকলে
Example:
What a beautiful flower it is!
How beautiful the flower is!
🔹 ১১. Article (a/an) ঠিকভাবে ব্যবহার করতে হবে
👉 vowel sound হলে an, না হলে a
Example:
What an honest man he is!
What a brave boy he is!
🔹 ১২. বাক্যের শেষে “!” দিতে হবে
Exclamatory sentence-এ সবসময় ! ব্যবহার করতে হবে।
🔹 ১৩. Subject + verb এর order বজায় থাকবে
Interrogative-এর মতো উল্টানো হবে না।
Example:
How beautiful she is! ✔

🔹 ১৪. আবেগ অনুযায়ী শব্দ নির্বাচন
Joy → Hurrah!
Sorrow → Alas!
Surprise → What!/How!Oh!

শেষে (!)
আবেগ অনুযায়ী শব্দ যোগ করা।

Assertive থেকে Exclamatory sentence-এ রূপান্তর করতে হলে বাক্যের আবেগ বুঝতে হবে এবং “What” বা “How” সঠিকভাবে ব্যবহার করতে হবে। Article, adjective এবং noun-এর সঠিক ব্যবহার অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।
